a. Do I need to be connected to the Internet to create my photobook?

No, you don’t! While working on your photobook, you do not need any connection at all. You can spend as much time as you want modifying it within printmyphotobook 3.0 without incurring any Internet costs. You only need to connect to the Internet for the upload, once your photobook is finished.

b. How can I upload photos into the photobook?

When you open printmyphotobook 3.0, you will see a selection of your folders on the left side of the screen. Select the folder including the photos you want to upload. The photos will then appear under the selection of folders. Now, just drag and drop the most beautiful ones in your photobook or press "TRANSFER IMAGES" to upload all the images included in the folder in the photobook. You can find more information by clicking on the "HELP" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

c. How many photos fit in my photobook?

If you decide to create your own layout, the number of photos that can be inserted in the book is theoretically unlimited. Please note that the more photos you include, the longer the upload of the book will last.

d. Which format should my digital photos have?

Our software recognizes all images saved in the standard format of digital cameras (JPEG).

e. Which quality should my uploaded photos have?

Our standard square layout requires a minimum resolution of 1024 x 1024 dpi in order to achieve good printing results. The photos whose quality does not allow correct printing results will be marked with a red dot. They should not be used. Photos marked with a yellow dot will not provide excellent results, but can nevertheless be used.

f. How can I find out which quality my uploaded photos have?

Choose an image folder in the software. The images in the folder will appear in the column to the left of the screen. Place your mouse on an image and stay on it without clicking. Information including the quality of the image will appear on the screen.

g. Can I upload scanned photos into my photobook too?

Yes, you can! Provided you save them in JPEG-format, scanned photos can be used smoothly. Nevertheless, using scanned images might result in lower printing quality.

h. Can I upload text files or graphic files into my photobook too?

As long as you saved them in JPEG-format, you can upload them without difficulty.

i. How can I find out if the text I entered will be printed in full?

Click on "PREVIEW" within the software and you will see what your book will look like when printed. Should the text not appear as you wish, you can either shorten it, use a smaller font, or choose a different type of page layout providing more space for text.

j. Can I choose the colour of the photobook, the layout and size of the images?

Yes, you can! The software offers many possibilities to organize your images, choose the colour of your book and lay out your texts. More information is at your disposal if you click on the "HELP" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

k. How many different sizes of photobooks are there?

You can choose between four different formats and three different types of binding. You can find an overview of our products including the number of pages under "PRICES + SHIPPING".

l. How can I save the photobook I created?

You can save your photobook whenever you wish by clicking on "SAVE". As soon as you upload your photobook (e.g. to order it), it will be available in your online account under www.printmyphotobook.co.uk.

m. How long will my photobook remain stored?

Your photobooks will be stored for 60 days. Before a photobook entry expires, we will send you two reminders by email (10 and 2 days before expiry date).

n. How many photobooks can remain stored in my account?

You can save as many photobooks as you like, as long as you have enough space on your hard-drive

o. I have finished creating my photobook. How can I order it?

Click on the "ORDER" button to complete the first step of your order. The software will guide you through the process. You can either send us your photobook online or save it as a file with a ".book" ending so as to burn it to a CD you will send us by post. Once your book has been ordered and paid for in your online account on our webpage, it will be sent within approximately 12 working days.

d. How much does the postage cost?

The postage costs $7.90.

e. Can I order several photobooks at once?

Yes, you can! You can either upload several books one by one over the internet, or burn several books to a CD. The photobooks will then be sent to you in one go.

f. Can I order several copies of one photobook?

Yes, you can! You can choose the number of copies in your personal online account.

g. Can I re-order a photobook once I have sent you a CD, or do I have to send you another CD?

Once you have uploaded a photobook or sent it on a CD, you can order it as many times and as often as you like.

h. Can I modify my photobook once I have ordered it?

Once you have received an email from us confirming your order, you cannot make any further corrections because your photobook is already being produced. It is therefore important that the order and sizes of your photos are exactly as you wish before you place your order. Please check all entered texts for typos as well.

a. How long will it take until I receive my photobook at home?

Your book will be sent within approximately 12 working days after it has been ordered and paid for.

b. How are the photobooks packed?

a. What will my photobook look like?

Whichever format and number of pages you pick, your photobook will always be printed on high-quality 170 gsm paper especially adapted to digital printing. The cover comes in matt or glossy finish and is made of 300 gsm paper. You can also choose its colour from a wide range of tones.

b. What printing process is used for the photobooks?

A digital printing process will be used to produce your book. This technology is increasingly used in professional book printing. If they are treated appropriately, your photobooks will remain like brand-new.
