a. Do I need to be connected to the Internet to create my photobook?

No!While working on your photobook, you don't need to be online. You can create your photobook with printmyphotobook 3.6 off line, taking all the time you need without incurring any Internet costs. You only need to connect to the Internet for the upload, once your photobook is finished.

b. How can I upload my photos into the photobook?

Open printmyphotobook 3.6. On the left side of the screen you will see a selection of your folders. Choose the folder containing the desired photos. The pictures now appear as thumbnails in the area below the folders selection. Now you simply need to drag and drop the desired photos on the page or click on "Transfer", to upload all the images included in the folder in the photobook. Further information is available selecting the "Help" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

c. How many photos will fit into my photo book?

You can have up to 10 elements per page. They can be photos, text boxes, calendar sheets or colored areas.

d. What format and what color profile should I have?

Myphotobook software recognizes all JPEG images (which is the standard format for all digital cameras). As color profile, use only RGB images.

e. What about the quality of the photos?

The software offers a "traffic light function", indicating the quality of your photos. The images that don't have sufficient quality, are marked with a red dot. The dot appears in the upper left corner of the corresponding image. These images should not be used. Photos marked with a yellow dot will not provide excellent results, but can nevertheless be used. In addition, you can scroll the mouse over the inserted image, and you will find out the required and the actual image size.

f. Can I upload scanned images into my photobook?

Yes. Scanned images can be used. Make sure, however, that the images have high resolution and are stored as JPEG, so that good printing results can be achieved.

g. Can I upload text files or graphic files into my photobook?

Yes, text can be easily added using our text editor. If your text comes from other sources, and you insert copying and pasting it, please note that our software doesn't accept any formatting or default fonts and colors. In this case always use unformatted text. When you copy and paste, please refer to the "Help" function in our software.

As long as all the files are JPEG, you can have all sort of graphics in your book. Our software and production process, however, are optimized for photos, which means that headlines and graphics, even if uploaded as JPEG, might come out blurry.

h. How can I tell if my text and picture layouts will be printed correctly?

If the book has been uploaded onto our database, you can log in to your personal online account, and access the section called "My Books". Double click on the book thumbnail, and you will open the Online Preview window. It shows how the book will be printed. If texts or images are not displayed correctly, please contact us before placing the order.

i. How many book formats are there?

You can choose between 7 different formats and 4 different types of binding. You can choose the number of pages, which goes from a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 250, it is fixed and increases of 12 pages at the time. j. How can I save the photobook I created?

You can save your photobook whenever you wish by clicking on "SAVE". You can also save the files you find in your Myphotobook folder. They contain the information about your book and they are the folder labelled with the name of your book and the related file ending with the suffix .mpb. You find these files in the folder called "Books", a subfolder of Myphotobook.
On a PC you can locate the folder here: Documents/User/printmyphotobook/Books. If you are a Mac user,here: Documents/printmyphotobook/BOOKS:

k. How long will my photobook remain stored?

The books that you end up ordering are stored for one year. The books that you upload, but are not ordered, can be easily deleted. Log on to your online account with your email and password, and click on "My Books". Next to each book there are two buttons, one is the green cart, the other one is orange and is labelled "View". Click on it. You will have an overview of the book you selected and will find the option delete. If you do not want to order this book or it has been uploaded by mistake, just click on "Delete". If you will not delete unordered book, we will remove them from the database in 120 days.

l. How many books can I save on my computer?

You can save as many books as you like. However, keep an eye on the capacity of your hard drive.

m. Can re-edit a previously ordered/uploaded book without overwriting the original version?

Yes. You can use the "Duplicate" function, creating a copy of your book. Open the software and click with the right mouse button on the photobook name listed in the opening menu. Choose from the menu "Duplicate. " Save your photobook with a new name.
You can now open the new photobook, apply changes and transfer it to our database.

a. How do I upload my photobook?

Once you are done with the design, click on the red button "Order". Please fill in the form to create your personal account. The data will be saved and will be available for further uploads. You can also create multiple accounts, just make sure that you use different email addresses. Please check the spelling of the email address carefully and do not use any special character or space for the password. After having filled in the fields concerning your account, you have two options for the upload of the book: one is the "Internet", which transfers the book directly to our database, the other is "Send a CD". If you choose the Internet option, the book will be transferred directly on our database, and you will be able to acces it on your account immediately after the upload. The upload can take different amounts of time, depending on the internet connection, the size of the book and the processor. In particular the new formats with up to 250 pages, need some time to upload and we ask you to be patient in case it takes longer. The "Send a CD"option will generate a .book file (normally saved on the desktop as a green icon named as the book): you can burn it on a CD or a DVD and send it to us to:

The data you have given (email, password) will allow you, after the upload, to access your personal account. This operation will be confirmed with an email.

b. How do I order my book?

The order takes place after you have uploaded the book onto your personal account. Go to www.printmyphotobook.com and log into your account with your email address and password. In the "My Books" section you'll find your uploaded books. Please check the online preview to make sure that the books look exactly as you want them to look. To do this click on the Cover representing your book in the "My Books" section. Put your book in your shopping cart and click on "purchase". You will land on a page on which you can choose how many copies you want to order and you will also fill in the details concerning the shipping and billing address. In case you are ordering multiple copies, insert the desired amount and click on "Calculate". On this page you can also choose the shipping modality. You can choose between standard and premium shipping. More information about shipping can be found here.

To proceed click on the "continue" button. This will bring you to a page on which you will see the details of your order and can use your discount coupon. To use your coupon, you need to insert the code you received and the final amount due will be re-calculated. More information about vouchers can be found here.

If you do not want to use your coupon or if you don't have one, you just need to press on "buy without discount card" and you will land on the page on which you can choose the payment method. Choose "new payment method". You will see a page on which you will be given different payment methods to choose from. For more information about the different payment modalities, click here.

Close the order by clicking on the "Order" button.

Once the order is placed you can check its status in the "My Orders" section on your account.

c. What payments methods are available?

You can choose between Credit card, debit card and bank transfer. Please note that the production starts only after receipt of payment. When paying by credit card, the production starts a few minute after the order is placed. The orders placed choosing the bank transfer option will be put in production as soon as the payment is received. Normally a bank transfer takes ca 3 working days to come through.

d. How long does it take to produce the books?

e. What printing process is used for the photobooks?

A digital printing process will be used to produced your photobooks. This technology is increasingly used in professional book printing. If they are treated appropriately, your photobooks will last forever.

f. What shipping methods are available and how much do they cost?

When you select the standard delivery service, the book is sent with Deutsche Post. This service costs 13.90 $ for deliveries to United States, and 7.90 $ for other EU countries, Usa and Canada. The orders sent with the Premium service, are delivered by UPS directly to you at home.
The fee for the premium service consists of the standard shipping fee plus the premium surcharge of 5.00 $. UPS delivery service offers you the advantage of a faster and insured shipping and you will receive a tracking number via email within 24 hours after the dispatch. g. Can I order several copies of one photobook?

Yes, you can! You need to insert the desired amount in the order form and click on "Calculate".

h. Once a photobook has been uploaded, can I re-order it?

Once tho photobook has been uploaded onto your account, it can be ordered as many times as you want. Please note that the books that you end up ordering will be stored for 360 days. The books that have been uploaded, but not ordered will be available for 120 days.

If you want to apply changes to the uploaded book, you need to re-edit the book in the software and upload the new version on your account, or send a new CD.

i. Can I edit the photobook after the upload?

You can only apply changes within the software. The uploaded file cannot be modified, neither from you nor from ourselves.

If you want to change the layout of your book, you need to work on it in the software and proceed with a new upload. A second upload takes normally much less time, because the data have been already partially transfered.

Make sure that you check the online preview after the upload. Once the book is in production no changes can be made, therefore it is really important that you check the book you have uploaded.
Please note that due to the large amount of books, we cannot check the content of the uploaded files (eg. Spelling mistakes).

j. I have a voucher code. How do I redeem it?

During the ordering process you will see the coupon field. Simply insert the code and the system will re-calculate the total amount. In the following page, make sure that the discount has been applied. Please note that you can only use one voucher code per order.

k. Is there a discount for multiple orders?

Yes! If you buy 5 or more photobooks, you will benefit from a discount. For 5 copies you get an automatic 3% discount; from 10 copies, a 4% discount; from 15 copies, a 5% discount.

a. How long does it take to get my photobook delivered?

Once the book has been uploaded and ordered, it takes 4 to 5 working days to be produced. The delivery time depends on the service you choose: the standard shipping takes 4 to 5 working days or the premium service which takes 3 to 4 working days.

b. How are the photobooks packed?
